Story Hour

Florence Ceramics of Pasadena. This company began in the garage of Florence Ward. She began her work as grief theapy after the loss of her young son.

The company created its work in a large factory from 1948 to the 1960's. They had 9 show rooms across the country. They employed up to 200 employees.

The prices of the 1940's and 50's ranged from $3.00 to $50.00. These high end figurines sold in Department Stores, Jewelry Stores and high end gift shops.

This figurine is on the cover of the first book done on Florence Ceramics. Doug Foland was the author. He lives in Portland Oregon. The book came out in 1995. This was also the year E Bay was started.
